  • HEPES

    HEPES, or 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid is initially a substance used in cell biology to stabilise pH. Its physiological pro-desquamation properties were patented by L’Oréal Research & Innovation. By promoting the activity of proteases (enzymes which cut protein bonds between corneocytes), HEPES, like a biological peeling, helps recreate the conditions to favor good desquamation. The skin is smoother, softer and more radiant. HEPES is one of the key ingredients in Revitalift Laser X3 glycolic peel pads.
